The Sheena Bora Case
Sheena Bora, 24, vanished in Mumbai in April 2012; people close to her were told she had moved abroad. Three years later, in August 2015, a driver detained on an unrelated charge made statements that reopened the matter, and remains found in Raigad in 2012 were identified as hers. The case was transferred to India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and several people from her close circle were charged with murder. The driver became an approver. All the accused have been released on bail. The trial, running for more than a decade, continues after India's Supreme Court set a final deadline for its completion in 2025.
