MOONE — 1995 · Missing Person
The Disappearance of Jo Jo Dullard
Jo Jo Dullard, 21, missed her last bus home to Kilkenny from Dublin on the evening of 9 November 1995 and continued by hitchhiking. At 11.37pm she phoned a friend from a telephone box in the village of Moone, County Kildare, saying a car had stopped and she was about to get in. It was the last contact anyone had with her. Hers is one of the disappearances linked in public discussion to Ireland's "Vanishing Triangle". Gardaí upgraded the case to a murder investigation in 2020; in 2024 a man was arrested and released without charge, and excavations were carried out in Wicklow. No one has been charged.
