The Murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman

ClosedSources: ALast updated: 14 October 2026

On the night of 12 June 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, a waiter, were found stabbed to death outside Brown's home in the Brentwood district of Los Angeles. Brown's ex-husband, a famous former football star and actor, was charged; the televised trial, dubbed the 'trial of the century', ran from January to October 1995. Despite the forensic evidence presented by prosecutors, the jury acquitted him of both murders on 3 October 1995. In a civil suit brought by the victims' families, another jury in February 1997 found him liable for the deaths and ordered him to pay $33.5 million. No one was ever criminally convicted of the killings.
