KERATSINI — 2013 · Murder
The Murder of Pavlos Fyssas
Pavlos Fyssas, a 34-year-old anti-fascist rapper known as Killah P, was stabbed to death on the night of 18 September 2013 in Keratsini, a working-class district near Piraeus. The killer was a member active in the local organisation of the far-right Golden Dawn party. The murder sparked nationwide protests and prompted Greek prosecutors to launch a sweeping investigation into Golden Dawn. After a trial lasting more than five years, a court in Athens on 7 October 2020 convicted the party's leadership of running a criminal organisation; Fyssas's killer received a life sentence and other defendants were found guilty as accessories. In March 2026 the appeals court largely upheld the convictions.
