Changi, Singapore (alleged events)
Old Changi Hospital
Folklore — not a documented case
The abandoned former military hospital in eastern Singapore is said to be full of ghosts carrying the pain of the war years. It is one of the country's best-known 'haunted' places.
The cluster of buildings on Barrack Hill in Changi, at Singapore's eastern tip, was established in the 1930s as a Royal Air Force hospital. When Singapore fell in 1942 during the Second World War, the area came under Japanese control, and tens of thousands of prisoners of war were held in the nearby Changi camps.
