The Disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh

UnsolvedSources: ALast updated: 14 October 2026

Suzy Lamplugh, a 25-year-old estate agent, left her Fulham office on 28 July 1986 to show a property to a client noted in her diary as "Mr Kipper" and was never seen again. Her white Ford Fiesta was found that night in Stevenage Road, outside a house for sale. Extensive searches found no trace, and she was declared legally dead in 1993. Police later focused on a man convicted of other crimes, but prosecutors declined to charge for lack of evidence. Digs in the West Midlands in 2018 and Worcestershire in 2019 found nothing. The case is also remembered through the personal-safety charity founded by her family.
