The Murders of Barry and Honey Sherman
Billionaire Barry Sherman, founder of the pharmaceutical company Apotex, and his philanthropist wife Honey Sherman were found dead on 15 December 2017 in the basement pool area of their home in Toronto's North York neighbourhood. Police at first appeared to treat the case as a murder-suicide; after challenges from an independent team hired by the family, they announced in January 2018 that it was a targeted double homicide. The family offered a reward of up to 10 million dollars for information. In 2022 police released footage of a person seen near the house on the night of the killings. The investigation continues, but no one has been arrested or charged; it remains one of Canada's most talked-about unsolved murders.
