Disappearance of Delphine Jubillar

SolvedSources: ALast updated: 14 October 2026

Delphine Jubillar (née Aussaguel), a 33-year-old mother of two who worked as a night nurse at a clinic in Albi, disappeared from her home in Cagnac-les-Mines in the Tarn on the night of 15–16 December 2020. Searches involving hundreds of gendarmes and volunteers found nothing. Her husband, from whom she was separating, was taken into custody in 2021 and charged with killing her; he denied the accusation for years. After a closely followed trial, the Tarn assize court sentenced him to 30 years in October 2025. In July 2026 he confessed in a letter to his lawyer, and remains found in a field at Mailhoc on his directions were confirmed as hers. The case became a symbol of the debate on violence against women in France.
