In 1971, face-like stains were claimed to have appeared on the kitchen floor of a village house in Andalusia and to have come back even after being removed. The case remains disputed between accusations of fraud and paranormal interpretations.

Bélmez de la Moraleda is a small mountain village in the province of Jaén, Andalusia. In the summer of 1971 the kitchen of one of its houses became the setting for one of Spain's most debated paranormal claims.
